When do the workshops start and finish?
These workshops are typically a one day event that last 3-5 hours. After the live session ends, the replay will be made available to watch in the Past Live Workshop section of the Academy to all Academy members, and are also available to purchase for non-members.
How long do I have access to the replays?
Academy members get access to all available replays for as long as they are a member in the Academy. Some workshops are seasonal, and those replays are only available for 30 days in the Academy. (All replays are also available to buy separately, which gives you lifetime access to them.)
Where is this workshop held?
All workshops are hosted on Zoom. The Zoom room is set up so that everyone can see, and talk to each other. It feels as if we are all in the same studio working together! You also have the option to turn your video off, and listen while you paint. These workshops are warm, friendly, and casual. You can come for all or part of the live sessions, and watch the rest when the replay videos are posted.
What do I need for the workshop?
Each live event is different. Typically you will need to have your workspace set up ready to draw and paint. Details of each workshop will be posted prior to the event, and will also be emailed out to all members in the Art Academy.
Can people talk during these workshops?
Yes, my online workshops are different from other online events. Everyone gets to talk in my workshops. I like to begin each workshop discussing the painting strategy, and then answer any questions. Next, I will show you how to draw the composition or dive right into painting it. There will be periods throughout the workshop where I stop to share other artists progress with their art and answer questions. This is a perfect opportunity to get realtime help with your art and learn from others, however, if you don't like to hear everyone talking, then these workshops are not for you.
