How to Paint Red Toadstools

Learn how to paint realistic mushrooms with watercolors!

In this workshop I teach two different strategies for painting mushrooms, one for beginners and another for advanced watercolorists!

Beginners: I'm going to walk you through step-by-step how to draw and paint a mushroom.

Advanced Artists: I'm going to show you how to merge multiple references together to create the strongest possible composition with a foreground and background of your choice. (This will be your own original painting you can do what you want with - ex: market/sell!)

After going through this workshop you'll be able to make multiple mushroom paintings, and never make the same painting twice!

Frequently Asked Questions

When does the workshop start and finish?
Once you are enrolled, you get immediate access and can watch the workshop whenever you want.
How long do I have access to the replays?
If you buy the workshop you get forever access to it. If you have a subscription, then you get access until you cancel the subscription.
Can I share my art for feedback?
Only Academy members can share their art for feedback and receive video critiques. If getting feedback on your art and learning from other artists interest you I recommend joining the Academy, which will also give you access to all past workshops and unlimited help from me. If you prefer not to get feedback, then purchasing the workshop and getting forever access may be the best way to go!
What do I need for the workshop?
You can find a list of materials along with set up information under Workshop Specifics & Set Up Info located in the course content curriculum.
Can I download the videos?
No, to access the videos you must be connected to the internet.
Can I get a refund for this workshop if I decide it's not for me?
Due to the digital nature of this workshop there will be no refunds.
Are your workshops similar to your courses?
No, they are very different from my courses. (They are also different from other instructors's live workshops as well.) My workshops are recordings of a live class, which I teach online just as I do in person. This means you get to hear my painting strategy, watch me paint, and hear me talk to the other artists in the workshop all in real time. You also get to hear them ask questions, see their artwork, and learn from everyone in the workshop. 👉 F.Y.I. if you don't want to hear other artists talk and prefer just to hear my voice I recommend enrolling in my courses vs my workshops.
I have a question about this workshop. Can I contact you?
Absolutely! Send an email to: [email protected] with questions you have about this workshop and I will do my best to answer them.

Watch in real time how I plan, draw, paint, and pivot with my paintings when things don't go as plan!

You also get to see how members in the Art Academy plan and paint their design as well.
